Bill Miller

Bill and his wife live in Monument Colorado.

Bill is a U. S. Navy Veteran serving 4–years of active duty 1964-1968 and 2–years inactive reserve. Is a service-disabled Vietnam Veteran serving 21-months in Vietnam with four deployments 1965 USS Bennington CVS20 Anti-Submarine Carrier Gulf of Tokin RVN, 1966 U S Naval Mobile Construction Battalion ELEVEN Da Nang East RVN, 1967 U S Naval Mobile Construction Battalion ELEVEN Dong Ha RVN, and 1968 USS Sioux ATF75 Fleet Tug South China Sea.

Bill founded Wounded Warrior USA, LLC, (WW USA) on August 10, 2010, as a Colorado non-profit 501 (c)(3) and changed the name to Wounded Heroes USA in November 30, 2019. WH USA provides a fishing and outdoor outreach program for Active Duty Recovering Soldiers and military personnel and their immediate families and Gold Star families. The 100% public donation-supported outreach program provides all the necessary fishing hardware and equipment, and hot lunch food, and drinks at every event. WH USA operates the same without deviation as WW USA does. WH USA operates the same as WW USA does. Raises regional project funds through public and grant donations. During the years of operation, there have been over 800 Active Duty Rehabilitating Wounded Warriors from the Warrior Transition Battalion (new name effective January 2020 Soldier Recovery Unit) at Fort Carson and Gold Star Families that have benefited from healing experiences from a Colorado Rocky Mountain outdoor adventure. All previous Warrior Transition Battalion Commanders have echoed the same “Please do not stop doing what you are providing to the neediest PTSD and TBI soldiers and families”. The Gold Star Family, Survivor Outreach Service at Fort Carson echo the same.

Bill a Past President and Life Member 1976 of the Lakewood Jaycees, Lakewood California.

Bill retired from Southern California Edison a public electric utility in 1996.

Bill is a current active member with the American Legion Post 9-11 Tri-Lakes at Palmer Lake Colorado and a Board of Directors with Mountain Time Media, Denver.

Bill is on the Board of Directors, Center For Comprehensive Film. A Colorado-based non-profit organization that believes in the potential global impact that the power of storytelling can take place through film.

Bill is on the Council, Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) in support of the Gold Star Families at Fort Carson. 

Bill is a Colorado licensed fishing outfitter.
