Wounded Heroes USA is committed to supporting “Gold Star” Families through the Survivor Outreach Services (SOS), Fallen Heroes Family Center at the Army facility in Fort Carson, Colorado. The facility assists over 900 families.
WH USA provides an annual catered picnic for families.
“Gold Star” describes a family member who has lost a loved one in military service.
Laying down one’s life for our country is the ultimate sacrifice; it is heroic. As heroic and honorable as it is, it also creates a reflective sense of loss for family members and loved ones.
The mission of Gold Star Legacy is to provide support, information, and services to Gold Star family members, promote events, memorials, and foundations in memory of their loved ones, and encourage the public to honor and remember our fallen heroes.
