Lieutenant Colonel (R) Aaron Termain attended Northern Arizona University and was commissioned through the Lumberjack ROTC Battalion as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He has served with 24th Infantry Division, 5th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH)(Airborne), 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), NATO Headquarters, Greece, Joint Special Operations Command, 528th Special Operations Medical Detachment, United States Army Special Operations Command, U.S. Northern Command and North American Aerospace Defense, and commanded the Ft. Carson Warrior Transition Battalion.

Aaron has deployed to Haiti, Joint Task Force Bravo, Honduras, Korea, Thailand, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Horn of Africa. He earned a master’s degree in public health with an emphasis in emergency and disaster management from the University of Iowa.

Aaron’s last assignment in the Army was Commander of the Ft. Carson Warrior Transition Battalion. This Battalion provided medical care, rehabilitative programs and complex nursing case management to the assigned wounded warriors. The active duty and civilian staff provided support to prepare each Soldier and Family for a successful transition back to the active Army or into civilian life as a Veteran.

Aaron serves on the Wounded Heroes USA Board of Directors.
